US Military veteran joins Computer Futures’ Salesforce team
Computer Futures, the specialist tech-recruitment arm of SThree PLC, has strengthened its Salesforce recruitment offering with the appointment of US Military veteran, Roger Miranda.
It’s the latest part of the company’s drive to become the leading recruiter in the Salesforce ecosystem and follows the appointment of Stephanie Herrera as Vice President of its Salesforce Practice earlier this year.
Roger, who is widely regarded as one of the leading veterans in the Salesforce ecosystem, has joined the business in Austin, Texas, as a Senior Consultant.
Having spent 22 years in the US Military, Roger advanced through the ranks culminating as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also lists Battery Commander, Knowledge Management Officer, and Deputy Director of the Fort Hood Simulation Centre among his previous military roles.
He served in the US, Kuwait and was twice deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he served in a multi-national command to improve the stability and security of Southern Afghanistan.
As he prepared to retire from the military, Roger found out about Vetforce and the Merivis Foundation, which both offer active military personnel, veterans and military spouses free training, certifications and career opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Through the Merivis Foundation professional network, Roger met Stephanie Herrera, who is on the organisation’s board. Following a discussion with Stephanie and Danny Cohen, Vice President of Computer Futures in the US, Roger decided to join Computer Futures.
Ahead of his start date, Roger said: “During my conversation with Danny, he explained that at Computer Futures, people are at the heart of everything they do and that’s what brought me here.
“Helping people is one of my greatest sources of joy and having been in the military for my entire adult life, the philosophy I’ve followed is ‘mission first, people always’.
“So, it’s really exciting to be here at Computer Futures and I’m looking forward to working with the expert team to make an impact and bring even more success to the brand and to SThree.”
Danny Cohen, Vice President of Computer Futures in the US, said: “Roger is well known in the Salesforce community and we are so happy to have him on board.
“At Computer Futures, our aim is to be the number one talent provider within the Salesforce ecosystem across the regions we operate in and I’m confident Roger will play a massive part in that.”
