About the Role

We are a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building mission-critical products for enterprise customers.

As the company's first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer, you will lead the evolution of our infrastructure, platform capabilities, security posture, and operational excellence as we scale from a growing product portfolio to a robust multi-product platform.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, reliability, automation, and security. You will be responsible for building scalable systems, improving developer experience, strengthening security controls, and ensuring the platform can meet enterprise-grade expectations for availability, performance, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Drive infrastructure standardization and platform engineering initiatives
• Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Enhance system reliability, availability, scalability, and performance
• Establish monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident-response processes
• Improve security controls across cloud infrastructure and application environments
• Implement infrastructure automation and operational best practices
• Partner with engineering teams to improve development productivity and platform adoption
• Contribute to backend development when necessary (Go/Python)
• Support security initiatives such as access control, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, logging, and audit readiness

Requirements

Must Have

• Experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence
• Experience supporting production systems and critical services
• Ability to independently identify and solve technical challenges
• Backend software development experience
• Experience working with automation, Infrastructure as Code, or CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and problem-solving
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Professional-level Japanese communication skills or native level English/Chinese

Nice to Have

• Experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
• Experience with cloud security, IAM, vulnerability management, secrets management, or compliance initiatives
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions
• Backend development experience with Go and/or Python
• Experience operating enterprise SaaS platforms
• Experience supporting systems handling sensitive or regulated data
• Experience leading technical initiatives or platform-wide improvements
• Familiarity with security frameworks, audits, SOC2, ISO27001, or similar governance requirements
