Your impact

• You will design, build and maintain Java applications that are reliable, testable and ready for use.
• You will work with SOAP, XML, JSON and front end components to support working applications.
• You will use Jenkins in delivery and contribute across development, testing and improvement.
• You will work with technical and business stakeholders on requirements and practical solutions.
• You will help deliver scalable software and take ownership of your development tasks in a hybrid team.

What you will bring

Must have

• Strong Java capability, with the judgement to build and improve Java applications in a contract setting.
• Hands-on use of SOAP, XML and JSON to support integration and application development, plus confidence contributing to front end work.
• Experience using Jenkins in delivery, with the ability to support quality through build, testing and release.
• Clear communication and the confidence to work with technical and business stakeholders in a hybrid team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SDLC in practice, plus experience in application maintenance and building scalable software.
• Background in requirements gathering, solution design, Agile delivery, hybrid working and contracting.

The package

£60 to £80 per hour. This is a contract role for 25 weeks, inside IR35, working 8 hours a day across 5 days a week.

You'll work on a hybrid basis in London, United Kingdom, with a start date of 22/10/2026.
