Senior Software Engineer

Department: Product Development

Remote working available - must have the right to live and work in the UK

£45 - 60K DOE

Role- Perform full software development lifecycle activities across a range of products. Primary focus will be on the core Access Control product which has over 20k installations worldwide across all scale of business and industries, Enterprise scale challenges etc and using various technologies including Desktop Application, Web Applications variety of integrations with hardware and partners.

Responsibilities - Software design Software implementation Code reviews Testing prior to dedicated internal QA team Support to internal dedicate Technical Support team Documentation production

Degree or equivalent experience - ideally in Computer Science / Software Engineering - but any related degree considered.

Previous experience -Enterprise scale commercial experience covering the full life cycle on Microsoft based platforms and SQL server.

Skills / knowledge - Microsoft Stack (ideally very proficient with C# or VB and able to transition quickly) Working knowledge of SQL and ability to use within applications. Writing secure code - using accepted practices and guidelines (i.e. OWASP). Quality and structured focussed to reduce QA Test failures.

Desirable but not Essential

Large scale internationalised applications with communication protocol level integrations to external systems

C++ Knowledge of JavaScript technologies (e.g. JQuery, Angular, React) Hardware Integration
