Bilingual Software Engineer (Tokyo)

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a Bilingual Software Engineer to support development initiatives in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and able to operate effectively in a Japanese-English bilingual environment, working with both local and global stakeholders.

This role can be tailored across different seniority levels and technical stacks depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications aligned with business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and global engineering teams
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Japanese and English
• Contribute to agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Core Requirements

• Professional experience in software development (typically 2+ years depending on seniority)
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go)
• Experience with modern development frameworks and tools
• Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2-N1 or equivalent) and English proficiency
• Experience working in a team-based development environment (Agile preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
