We are partnering with a leading global consumer brand to hire a Senior Social Impact Specialist to drive strategic social impact initiatives in the Japan market.
This is a opportunity for a strategically minded and execution-focused professional with strong experience in sustainability, CSR, or social impact, who can bridge global direction with local implementation while contributing to both brand value and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute mid- to long-term social impact strategies aligned with global priorities (e.g., community, people, sustainability)
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of social impact programs, from concept development to delivery and performance tracking
- Drive integration of social impact initiatives with brand, marketing, and business objectives
- Manage cross-functional collaboration with teams such as marketing, communications, HR, and operations
- Build and maintain partnerships with NGOs, public sector organizations, and external stakeholders
- Act as a key liaison between global and local teams to ensure alignment and effective rollout of initiatives
- Lead communication strategies, including content development, storytelling, and PR support
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to embed social impact across the organization
- Monitor program effectiveness and continuously improve through data, reporting, and insights
- Identify and develop new initiatives that address emerging social and environmental issues
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in social impact, sustainability, CSR, marketing, or related fields
- Experience in consumer-facing industries or global matrix organizations preferred
- Strong understanding of ESG, CSR, SDGs, and social impact frameworks
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects (internal and external)
- Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities
- Experience working with external partners such as NGOs, government, or social sector organizations
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, including PR or content development experience
- Ability to balance brand-building objectives with measurable business impact
- Fluent English required; Japanese strongly preferred
