Project/ Product Manager

Position Summary

In this role, you will drive end-to-end project execution-from upstream planning to
downstream implementation-for new initiatives and improvements related to payment,
charging, and dunning processes within the company's consumer services.This position offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects, collaborate withcross-functional teams across Japan and overseas, and help shape the next generation of their financial and billing systems.

Key Responsibilities
・ Lead and manage full project lifecycles, including scheduling, stakeholder
alignment, and progress tracking.
・ Clarify business requirements, determine project direction, and bridge
communication between business units and engineering teams.
・ Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders-both
domestic and international-ensuring smooth communication and negotiation.
・ Oversee production release activities, including night-time testing.
・ Manage incident response and problem resolution in urgent or unexpected
situations (including weekends/holidays/night shifts when required).
・ Contribute to master data management related to products, plans, and pricing for
payment and billing systems.
・ Collaborate closely with development teams on technical validation, feasibility
checks, and execution planning.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

Project & Business Leadership
・ 5+ years of professional experience, with preference for those with 7+ years.
・ 3+ years of hands-on project management experience, including managing
multiple projects concurrently.
・ Proven ability to work closely with both business units and engineering teams.
・ Experience defining requirements, giving clear direction, and collaborating in detail
with engineers.
・ Knowledge or experience in software engineering or system development
environments (Knowledge on Linux and/or Unix is a must).
・ Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
・ Understanding of infrastructure environments.

Communication Requirements
・ Business to Native-level Japanese proficiency.
・ Business-level English
・ Strong logical communication and adaptability when working with domestic and
international stakeholders.
